The little group of diaspora dev. have decided a long time ago to not working to integrate activity pub protocol
they have a lot of work to do with diaspora already.
But if someone want to help them to make a "bridge" , it will be nice.

in reply to Neil E. Hodges • • •@Salinger 3 Yes, that's nice that development continues. I was wondering more in general regarding userbase. There is much more buzz on Mastodon (which I don't like personally), but it attracts people. And from a pure practical POV: There are advantages of being on a friendica pod (for example, or on Hubzilla). This is why it seems to me that moving to somewhere else is a logical choice for many users.
What I recently noticed as striking is that there are tons of abandoned profiles which were active for a while. I guess those users are still active but probably somewhere else.

in reply to Neil E. Hodges • • •I am not using Friendica or Hubzilla because i don't understand the UX but it could be interesting to be there, like this it's possible to be connected with the Fediverse and Diaspora.
Do you think there is more active people who are posting on Friendica or Hubzilla. We should see them on Diaspora if we are connected with their instance/pod.

in reply to Neil E. Hodges • • •Actually if there is a friendica bot that automatically re-shares a Mastodon user's posts, I could follow it by putting that friendica bot to the contacts here (so all the Mastodon posts would appear in the stream as re-shares). This is kind of odd. Hubzilla has really cool features, but it's somewhat complex first.
On the other hand I still like it here. It's less noise, simple and there are always interesting posts to read.
