How often do street riders actually get pinch flats, anyway? #cycling #bicycle
in reply to Neil E. Hodges

Before tubeless? Not that often, with correct tire pressure.

With tubeless? Never.

I've only ever gotten pinch flats on rocky stuff, well away from pavement.

Off-road is an even better place for tubeless - no tube to pinch there!

In over two decades of regular riding, I've had many punctures (well, 5 or 6 anyway), but never a pinch-puncture.

On holes in the pavement. Sometimes on curbs.

Not nearly as often as on stony roads though.

not a single one, pinch or otherwise, in my last 3000 miles.
