How often do you tension/wax yours? I basically forget about it at all times and only think about it after the chain is too cold to wax.

I usually add tension when the chain feels too loose (the motorcycle manufacturers usually provide recommendations for tension), and lubricate when it looks too dry or starts developing rust spots.
