Actually, by pirating I have a higher quality video than paying for Prime Video, because their stupid DRM doesn't support HD video on Linux, and from torrents I can watch in 1080p with no problem

Why didn't I think of that earlier

corposhit is increaingly hobbled by it's own self imposed fatal flaws that it's becomming not worth it

@fluffykittycat I'd love to support the studio, but why should I pay them, if i get treated worse than someone who doesn't pay and "steals" the content instead
in reply to Fluffy Kitty Cat

They're making their products shittier to attempt to get the consumer to pay more, to appease the shareholders—their true customers—by increasing profit margins. Unfortunately for them, that doesn't work on informed consumers, of which their are plenty thanks to the free flow of information on the Internet. :)

There is nothing more dangerous to corporations and the wealthy than an informed populace. That's why they're trying to get rid of libraries and books under the guise of "protecting the children." It's all a ploy.

Also, libraries with their free access to books are difficult to monetize, so "they have to go." :/

@tk "protecting the children from what?" should always be the response. also the people pushing it the hardest are the real abusers themselves and are jealously guarding their monopoly on said abuse against precieved competition
in reply to Fluffy Kitty Cat

Exactly. All of those conservative groups that are trying to keep track of their kids' puberty (periods, etc.) are lead by pedophiles that get sick pleasure from it. The parents that fall for the ploy are just unknowing pawns.

@tk they're the real threat to kids the whole time and they want us to blame the gays. I refuse to play along

I recall hearing that the accumulation of huge amounts of wealth was one thing that occurred right before the fall of Rome. Today's billionaires are our version of the same.

I really feel like shit is really going to go down soon on multiple fronts.

So true. Expecting forever growth in general is honestly pretty stupid.

The scam that is fiat currency is going to collapse eventually, too.
