After 10 days of working in an offline time capsule brought back to the days when we actually got to own things, I’m convinced they only took away CDs and disk drives in computers to force us into dependency and subscriptions. Can’t actually own games anymore. We pay for games but we never own them. We can’t use our games without their software platforms. You used to be able to buy music, but they took all that away to force us into permanently renting our right to listen to music we enjoy. Almost nothing can be done without a subscription, or dependency on their software platforms. Without letting us have physical media, we will forever own nothing.
