If you truly enjoy driving, why would you be afraid of at least trying to hold deeper conversations with your steed?

If people actually did enjoy driving, their revealed preference for types of cars would not be urban tanks - which are marketed to relieve fear of driving. Similarly, ads for cars would not emphasize the fantasy of cars helping one escape from the reality of driving.

Case in point: the latest pathetic ad trend is the idea that cars can take you to places you would normally have to leave a car to get to, like a mountain top or camping site deep in the backcountry.
Alternately, my sense is that motorcycles are not marketed this way. The ads seem more grounded in reality.
