If I'm just outside and not being active, I can bundle up enough to keep warm. Same applies for when riding a motorcycle.

But when I'm being active, if I do that, I end up soaking my inner clothing layers with sweat and end up freezing even worse. Even wool inner layers don't prevent that. #cycling #bicycle

I wear polypropylene first against my skin and then other layers. It does the job for me when I ride. I also have electric chaps I wear under my leathers.

I've tried both synthetic and Merino base layers, but my torso just loves to sweat! :(

thin wool baselayer + Gore Windstopper shell works for me for up to 60 minutes running. The wool gets wet but still insulates. The Gore controls evaporative cooling.
