Content warning: US Politics: how to get a replacement ballot in Washington state
If you don't have your ballot yet (or if you've lost it, or spilled something on it, or if it was in a ballot box that vandals set on fire) you can request a new one.
One option is to go to a voting center or your county's election office, but you can also do it online at https://VoteWA.gov -- and even print it out at home. It's a fairly straightforward process (although you'll have to log in a couple of times). Here's detailed instructions, with screnshots.
Content warning: US Politics: Hundreds of ballots possibly burned
A bit of context here: Vancouver WA is a suburb of Portland, and part of a district where there's a hotly-contested Congressional race going on, with Democrat Marie Gluesenkamp Perez trying to keep her seat against far-right Joe Kent, a fave of Proud Boys in the district. The area of Vancouver where these ballots were burned is relatively blue; most of the district is red.
Ballot boxes in Portland, Ore., and neighboring Vancouver, Wash., were set on fire early Monday morning, police said, just over a week out from Election Day.

And yes, this is indeed why I shared the parent post on how to get a replacement ballot in Washington state! https://blahaj.zone/notes/9zww0aburrh3006h
EDIT: there was also a fake report last week about ballots being burned. This one's legit -- here's additional coverage from NBC news. But it's a good reminder that there's a lot of disinformation going around, so double-check things before you reshare.
