The Algorithm That Detected a $610 Billion Fraud: How Machine Intelligence Exposed the AI Industry’s Circular Financing Scheme

At precisely 4:00 PM Eastern Time on November 19, 2025, Nvidia Corporation released third-quarter earnings that exceeded Wall Street expectations. Revenue reached $57.01 billion against a consensus estimate of $54.9 billion. Earnings per share came in at $1.30 versus the anticipated $1.26. The stock surged 5% in after-hours trading, adding approximately $130 billion to the company’s market capitalization.

Eighteen hours later, the Nasdaq Composite closed down 1.21%. Nvidia’s gains evaporated. Bitcoin, which had briefly rallied, fell 2.07% to $89,567. What happened in those 18 hours represents something unprecedented in financial markets: algorithmic trading systems detected accounting irregularities faster than human analysts could read the earnings footnotes.

Speaking of 1.25m, check out what just showed up yesterday. :O

I've never seen TNC connectors in person before. :P

The right ones are BNC and the left one is actually N (pointed out by a few folks on different services).
in reply to Neil E. Hodges

Thinking the Ant/TX port is a N-connector as TNC are similar diameter as BNC, but threaded instead of twist-lock. Looks super-nice! Have fun on on 222!

The 28-point peace plan that the United States and Russia want to impose on Ukraine and Europe is misnamed. It is not a peace plan. It is a proposal that weakens Ukraine and divides America from Europe, preparing the way for a larger war in the future. In the meantime, it benefits unnamed Russian and American investors, at the expense of everyone else.

Going to put together my first full loop antennas soon. 👀 #AmateurRadio #HamRadio
in reply to Neil E. Hodges

Only a matter of time after my physically large (but actually small for the band) magloop and the halo sitting in my window. :P
in reply to Neil E. Hodges

Halo antennas are funky:

Although some writers consider the gap in the halo antenna's loop to distinguish it from a small loop antenna – since there is no DC connection between the two ends – that distinction is lost at RF: The close-bent high-voltage ends are connected capacitively, with a RF electrical connection completed through displacement current. Despite the abrupt reversal in voltage across the gap, the RF current bridging the gap is continuous (although possibly momentarily zero).

The gap in the halo is electrically equivalent to the tuning capacitor on a small loop, although its stray capacitance is not nearly as large as needed for a tuned loop: Capacitance is not needed since the halo antenna is already resonant, but since some small capacitive coupling is present anyway, the arms of the dipole are trimmed back from 97% of a quarter-wave each to restore resonance. Moreover, the halo ends are often pressed even closer together, to increase their mutual capacitance and the ends then cut even shorter to compensate, in order to make the radiation pattern even more nearly omnidirectional, and to produce even less wasteful vertical radiation (for a horizontally mounted halo).

If you want weird antennas, look for Japanese "hentenna" (ヘンテンナ)...

CW: fake, but graphic, wounds/scarring

NJ GOP congressman's former staffer charged in staged MAGA attack

There is precedent for staged incidents that are supposed to appear politically-motivated.

Back in 2008, a volunteer for John McCain’s presidential campaign named Ashley Todd said that she’d been robbed, pinned to the ground and had a backwards letter “B” carved into her face. She lied and said her attacker was a Black man who noticed a McCain sticker on her car, assaulted her and said "you are going to be a Barack supporter.” Todd later admitted she’d completely fabricated the whole thing.

In 2015, a veteran in Texas named Scott Lattin reported his truck had been vandalized with “Black Lives Matter” graffiti in retaliation for the pro-police messages he had displayed. Police discovered Lattin had actually done the defacing themselves, potentially for insurance money. His wife and son were also implicated.

In 2021, Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-SC) reported her home had been vandalized by “Antifa vandals.” There was graffiti reading “All politicians are bastards” and an “A” with a circle around it—an anarchist symbol, not an antifascist one. There was speculation at the time that Mace may have done it herself, though it hasn’t been proven one way or another.

Greene’s motivations for the staged attack remain unclear and she hasn’t made any public statements since being charged. According to her LinkedIn page, she’s a student at Rutgers Law School. Her former boss Van Drew is probably best-known for being elected as a Democrat but switching to the Republican party in 2020 after objecting to Trump’s impeachment.

In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s murder, there’s been a concerted effort by conservatives to paint liberals and progressives as supportive of political violence—despite little evidence. Seeing a conservative fabricate an attack like this—and mutilating her own body in service of the plan—suggests a different reality.

Americans With Four-Year Degrees Now Comprise a Record 25% of Unemployed Workers

There were more than 1.9 million Americans aged 25 and over with at least a bachelor’s degree who were unemployed in September — one in four of the total number of unemployed. Before 2025, the ratio never reached such a high in data going back to 1992. Younger, recent college grads have also been struggling to find work.

Rising unemployment among the college-educated “should further fuel AI-related job loss fears,” Michael Feroli, the chief US economist at JPMorgan Chase & Co., said Thursday in a note following the release.

The milestone comes amid a raft of high-profile layoff announcements from major corporations including Amazon.com, Target Corp. and Starbucks Corp. A recent report by the outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas indicated job-cut announcements last month were the highest for any October in more than 20 years, fueled by plans to replace positions with artificial intelligence.

Verizon Communications Inc. on Thursday became the latest to announce wide-ranging cuts, saying it would let go of more than 13,000 employees in a bid to shrink its non-union workforce by as much as 20%.

“For the new graduates from college, they they did get hit by a bit of a perfect storm,” Federal Reserve Bank of New York President John Williams said Friday. Normally, “college graduates are being swept into the labor market as they get out of college, and that has not happened as much this year,” he said in answering questions after a speech in Santiago, Chile.

Only five watts? I'd rather have 50 in the car, with all the losses. That's a 905 btw, way more expensive...
