Does riding a #BMW R #motorcycle feel like piloting a small piston airplane? 🤔
in reply to Neil E. Hodges

More like an ultralight, like a quicksilver. A 152 feels more like a VW Beetle. (Not even the superbeetle, just the original beetle.) Like, a 152 is so lightweight you can bank and climb by shifting your weight, leaning way over/forward/back, but it's still definitely an enclosed space. Ultralights, you're basically sitting on a motorcycle seat with your feet out in the blue sky.

The R18 is a thing of beauty. I don't think I'd want to own one, but I love the engine design.

@dHeinemann One of the perks of owning a BMW is, when you take it in for a service they give you a loaner for the day. The R18 wasn’t around when I had my BMW, but it would be nice to have for the day to try out.
