Spotify has always been evil, from the very get-go.

I am only familiar with them from the time my card number was stolen and used to sign up for their service. They were one of the smallest amounts charged, yet demanded a notarized affidavit to cancel the account. And they/the card issuer(?) notified me in a manner that was intended to be missed. Luckily I didn't, but I barely caught it before the deadline and had to scramble to get it submitted.

Spotify has been under-paying it's copyright royalties since the beginning - initially comically so.

It's a matter of several court cases, some may be ongoing...
