Did you know that "smart" when it comes to technology means "filled with ads"? :3c

Plastic don't embrittle to breaking challenge in a few months challenge (impossible).

The bottom guide for our hanging closet door. I just put it in a few months back and it broke even though I didn't put any extra stress on it when opening the closet.

I ordered a stainless replacement that should last a bit longer. :3

in reply to Neil E. Hodges

Hopefully so.

These days there are some amazingly durable plastics, but also some real poor material, too.

It wasn't hard, but it did take a while for me to figure out the workflow. :P I can definitely say I'm happy with the results, though.

I have GPS proof of doing 155 in Nevada on a BMW K1200GT. When he pulled me over the only thing he wanted to see was the motorcycle endorsement on my license. After he saw it we chatted about bikes for about an hour and he wrote me for 5 over.

Right after that I got rid of that bike and now I ride dirt.

in reply to Adam Hunt

There have been windows for bicycle riding, but none long enough for the kind of motorcycle riding I want to do. :(

Wouldn't the opposed piston engine be the true "boxer" engine, rather than the "traditional" flat engine? :3c

Honestly, it's pretty wild that something this complicated saw real-world use for decades. :P (Source)

I never thought the software industry would end up as one of the biggest polluters, albeit indirectly. :/

I wonder where battery tech would be today if we hadn't gone hard on petroleum fuels. :3c

If someone is constantly on their phone while doing something, it's a sure sign that they don't want to be doing that something. Some common examples:

  • Driving
  • Watching the kids
  • Walking the dog
  • Stuck with a bad date

Very true. I see a lot of parents here out with their kids, but ignoring them while on their phones instead. I suspect may of these kids will grow up and kill their parents with an axe.

When you like to do things "the hard way" because you like to learn how things work, but industries are bent on preventing people from learning how things work because it makes users dependent on profitable technical support. :(
